An illustration I did for last weekend’s Wall Street Journal. The story was about working from a home office, and the problems that it comes with. It wasn’t too hard for me to come up with some solutions for this illustration. To begin with the subject matter was pretty straightforward and I also work at home.
Oh yeah, Happy new year too!

This is one of my latest jobs for Scholastic. I also did a couple spots to go along with the cover image. The story is about Sybil Luddington, the female version of Paul Revere. I’m quite happy with how this cover came out, and I can’t wait to pick up a copy when it’s on the magazine stand.

I have had my eye on the 21 inch classic Cintiq for many years now. I was thinking about pulling the rigger on one of them, and lat week I found out about their new 12 inch model. It was just released and I am going to get one. I currently work on a 9×12 intouos tablet. Which I find too big for my hand strokes, so I shrunk down the active area of the tablet to fit my needs. The wacom really changed my art style, and loosened up my work. I can’t wait to see how the new cintiq will effect my work.

I’ve been unbelievably busy the last 3 months (which makes up for a lackluster first 9 months of the year). So I’ve barely have the time to update this site as much as I would like. Today’s entry is an illustration I did a couple weeks back for WSJ. I don’t often promote my grayscale work in my portfolio (color sells!), but I’m quite fond of how this one came out.

Every Christmas, my art rep has each of her illustrators and photographers create a promotional coaster to be sent out to clients in packs. Each year we have a theme, this year’s was “Environment.”
